Reviews and Ratings
I found the hotel to be a cozy and functional place to stay. The rooms, although slightly on the smaller side, were still comfortable and clean with spacious beds and excellent bathrooms. The service, while friendly, had limited English proficiency, which was a bit surprising for an international hotel. The location was convenient, near train stations, bars, and restaurants. The dining experience was satisfying with a mix of Western and Chinese choices. Overall, it was a good stay with a mix of positives and some areas for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms, while spacious and clean with big beds, are showing signs of age and could benefit from a renovation to reach a 5-star standard. The service, though somewhat lacking in English proficiency for sightseeing help, was accommodating and responsive to our requests. The location in the French Colony area was peaceful and close to lovely cafes and bakeries, yet a bit of a walk from major sites and shops. The dining options catered to both Western and Chinese tastes, though some improvements could enhance the variety.
My stay at this hotel was truly delightful. The rooms were very spacious, well-equipped with very comfortable beds, and all the amenities expected for a business stay. However, the service was a bit mixed with helpful staff but some difficulty with particular requests. The location was just great, close to downtown and within walking distance to many charming spots. The dining experience was very good but could have offered more variety. The facilities were nice, meeting my expectations for a solid stay.
The hotel rooms were nice and very comfortable, but unfortunately still smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The service was friendly, although the limited English was unexpected. The location was convenient with charming surroundings, albeit too close to major attractions. The dining options were varied with primarily Western food but slightly below Western hotel standards. The facilities were well-maintained and adequate.
The hotel is located on Hengshan Road, which is a beautiful tree-lined street in Shanghai, close to train stations, good bars, and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, but the breakfast had limited 'western choices'. The service staff was quite professional, though with limited English skills. Overall, a good location with a few dining improvements needed.
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. My room, despite being a single one, was enormous and filled with goodies, although the noise from Heng Shan Road was a bit disturbing. The hotel has few single rooms which is nice for solo travelers.
The hotel is located on the historic Hengshan Lu in the heart of the old French Concession area, directly across from a beautiful park. The rooms are enormous with high ceilings and balconies, offering plenty of space to spread out and relax. The staff is very friendly, although I was a little disappointed after a discussion. The location is great, with lots of fabulous coffee shops and bakeries nearby, compensating for standards that no longer conform to typical Shanghai business hotels. In the evening, dining was charged at RMB 158; it was okay, but as a European Traveler, I would have expected better bread or hard rolls. The facilities are quite Chinese and have nothing to do with international breakfast.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and filled with amenities like a loofah for a luxurious bath or shower. The service was a bit mixed with attentive egg dish preparation but lacking in concierge assistance. The location was charming, quiet, and walking distance to various attractions. The dining experience was average with more focus on Chinese cuisine. Overall, a great value for money with clean and comfortable rooms.
The hotel is conveniently located downtown with many nice spots within walking distance. The rooms are spacious, had air conditioning, but were a bit disturbed by noise from Heng Shan Road. The service was friendly, though with limited English proficiency. The dining options offer a good mix of Western and Chinese cuisine. The facilities are well-kept and satisfying.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable, perfect for a solo traveler like me. However, the service seemed lacking, with staff not showing much care for customers initially. The location, while on a beautiful tree-lined street, was not very convenient for major attractions or stores. On the bright side, the dining options were varied and delicious, making up for some of the drawbacks.
